blogging to get rid of stress

Today has been such a long tiring day. I have classes starting at 9 am and ending at 5 pm not to mention that I had two tests today. Now that im back in my room I just want to go to sleep but I still have hours of homework ahead of me. Its days like this when I just want to give up and forget about all the things I " have" to do :(

Sometimes you just need to get away

Living at the same place I go to school has caused me to be more closed in then usual. Instead of having friends from many different places, they are all from my little meredith community. But I think it is important to have a 3rd place; somewhere I can get away to and do things that are out of my everyday norms. I dont have a car so when I was trying to find somewhere that I can go I was automatically pushed to find somewhere that is with in walking distance or accessible by bus. This sunday my roomate and I went to Forest Hills Baptist Church and I realized it could be my third place! They have a good sized youth group with many different activities planned throughout the week. For example this weekend I will be going with the youth group to Kings Dominion and I can not wait! :) I'm glad that I've finally found somewhere new to go with BOYS there :P

Dude's we need our sleep.

I was shocked to find out how important sleep is to our bodies. The poor rats DIED after 5 days of not sleeping, I wonder what exactly sleep does for our bodies though. I'm going to keep in mind the fact that when a person sleeps they have a better memory of things, this is a great tool for studying. It is really important that people do not drive when they are tired because it has such a huge effect on awareness. I have experienced the sudden mood swings that lack of sleep provides, I think it's one reason sleepovers are so fun :P
Not only is sleeping important for body function, it is also very cute :)

MOLLY WAS IN MY ROOM

Most of you probably know about Meredith's Ghost Molly. If you don't heres a little background: The fourth floor of the Brewer Dormitory and the elevator in that building are supposedly haunted by "Molly." She was, according to legend, a student who got pregnant. Ashamed, she hung herself in the bathroom. Her ghost remains in her room, moving objects, unlocking doors and tapping walls. She will also control the elevator, refusing to let it move until one speaks to her, saying, "Hello Molly." She dislikes gossip. If one gossips in her presence, she will begin moving chairs and papers. She has been known to hide things. A few people have reported seeing her or strange lights, but these are rare.

Now that you know the background I can tell you my story :)

Me and my friends found out about Molly and started trying to scare eachother. You know the old ghost noises and popping out of random places. Untill the other night, I was in bed almost asleep while my roomate stood by the sink brushing her teeth. SUDDENLY the handle of our door starts turning and shaking like crazy! We both freaked out ran and threw open the door expecting to see one of our friends running away, BUT there was noone!!!!!

Facts
- There had been noone running away or giggling
- There was no shadow under the door while the shaking happened
- The doors at the end of the hall close slowly, and if someone was running away we would have still seen them closing

We called our friends screaming and crying trying to tell them what had happened and asking if it was them just tricking us but they swore up and down that they had been in their rooms and told us to relax and go to bed.

We did not sleep at all that night, we sat in our beds with all the lights on and the tv on scared that Molly would come back. The next day we told everyone what had happened to us and did our best not to go back to the room.

Neither of us could figure out an explanation for the door handle moving except Molly!
The end.

Our friend Lorri told us last night that it was her who turned the door handle.
